All About Us
In 1935, an informal club is formed known as the River Rats. In 1979 ground is broken for a new clubhouse in Lowry Bay and in 1982 the club is renamed to Lowry Bay Yacht Club.
Fast forward to today, and we are a club of approximately 250 members with a passion for yachting and boating. We offer both racing and cruising events on the water as well as land-based activities and social gatherings in our club rooms.
Our Club has a bar that is open on Friday evenings with catering, Saturday afternoons and following race events. It's a great gathering place for members, family and friends.
Located in Seaview Marina, there are a host of marine businesses and facilities on hand and we welcome new members at all times.

We always have boats and skippers looking for crew. Spots are available for all levels of sailing from beginner to experienced. Questions? Flick the Vice-Commodore an email and we will find a spot for you!
